Jordyn Experience

Before treatment I was morbidly obese. I was in pain and couldn’t do normal everyday activities without being fatigued. I faced some challenges with other issues in my body and my weight wasn’t helping with those situations either. My life preop was controlled by everything my weight wouldn’t allow me to do, like riding roller coasters, riding jet skis, being in a swimsuit, not being able to find cute clothes, not being able to do fun things with my daughter, worrying about taking up too much room on a bench. All of those things really hindered my life. 3 years ago I started researching VSG. I knew it was what I needed to do!

My life during the process has been nothing short of a miracle. All of my chronic pain and fatigue is gone! I recently ran my first 5k after weight-loss surgery and I was able to run it in 20 min! I have learned ways to deal with my relationship with food and instead of eating whatever whenever, I am able to fuel my body with nutritious food. I’ve learned a healthy lifestyle instead of just being skinny!

My life after treatment is a complete 360. Everything about my life has changed. It’s a constant journey every day and I will never fully arrive because, I’m constantly learning and growing but I’m no longer dealing with acid reflux, I’m no longer obese, I don’t need a seatbelt extender for an airplane. I have lost over 120 inches off my body! I’ve lost 13 pant sizes! I have even lost a shoe size! I took back control of my life and it was the best choice I ever made.
