You are in the Severely Obese category and may qualify for traditional bariatric surgery. If you have life threatening conditions that are undiagnosed you may qualify for traditional bariatric. After evaluation, if you were found to have life-threatening conditions you were not aware of, your Severe Obesity with life-threatening conditions would qualify you for traditional bariatric surgery. You do however qualify for a less invasive nonoperative procedure called an ESG (Endoscopic Sleeve Gastroplasty). In this minimally invasive, outpatient, nonoperative, incisionless procedure, your stomach is sutured from the inside to mimic the shape of a traditional sleeve gastrectomy by passing a camera and special instruments through your mouth.
